World Water Day 2019 – Leaving no one behind!

5 simple ways to save water

Every year we are marking the World Water Day on March 22nd to raise the awareness of the importance of water protection necessary for the survival of mankind. Statistics say that today around 2 billion people on Earth live without safe water, and it is estimated that by 2030 this number will grow by another 700 million. There is less and less safe drinking water every year, mainly due to the growth of the world's population, the development of industry, and the ignorance of how to properly manage water supplies on Earth./p>

By simple everyday practices, all of us can influence the global reduction in water consumption and thus contribute to its protection so that it can become available to everyone on Earth in the future. That's why we bring you 5 simple ways how you can help save water every day:

1. Shorter showers and baths

Long showers spend at least 4 times more water than a 3-5 minute short shower.

2. Watering flowers and plants with ice cubes

Ice cubes needs less time to absorb, preventing leakage of additional water from the pond. You can take advantage of this trick - use the ice cubs that accidentally fall on the floor.

3. Use a glass while brushing your teeth

There is no need for water to flow from the tap while you brush your teeth. Fill the glass with water, brush your teeth and rinse the remaining liquid from the glass. The water that remained in the glass can be used to water the plant.

4. Switch off the tap

Never let the tap water flow during tooth brushing, shaving, washing your face or hands.

5. Fill the dishwasher to the end

Never run the machine if it is not completely filled with dirty dishes. This will save water, electricity and energy.

1. Kraće tuširanje i kupanje

2. Zalijevanje cvijeća i biljaka kockicama leda

5. Punjenje perilice za suđe do kraja

Nikada nemojte upaliti perilicu ako nije do kraja ispunjena prljavim suđem. Na taj način ćete potrošiti manje vode, struje i energije.
