Velika Gorica, the biggest city of the Turopolje region, is located in the near vicinity of Zagreb. It became a city in 1995. It's known for the archeological remains of the Andautonia Roman therms. Besides the therms, Velika Gorica is rich with green fields full of Turopolje flora, ideal for afternoon walks, cycling, and spending some time in nature.
